Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas :]

I was so excited to finally go up and get our tree! I thought I found the perfect one, until I got home. Just another Charlie Brown tree!!!!

Our family also had the chance to go down to Derek's brothers house in La Sal, UT. It is a small town about 40 min out of Moab. It was such a great visit and we had so much fun. Cade is a ranch manager so Brody loved all the animals that were there.

I am so excited for Christmas this year. I cant wait for Brody to open up his presents and love the holiday spirit. Holidays are so much better with KIDDOS!

My BEST Friend....

yeah This post is about my best friend. Derek is my Best Friend. I just feel like this post is necessary. If you dont want to read or think it is cheesy please move on cuz this is my journal too! Derek is my best friend for many reasons but I think the one reason that stands out the most is because he is so supportive. We have had a lot of trials lately and I have just felt like, "what else?" There have been many days I just wanna give up on everything. I mean, I try so hard to be the best I can be and we still seem to be going through all these trials..... Derek got accepted in to the paramedic and fire academy in orem, ut. two weeks before school started we found out he didnt get residency, hence we were not paying the out of state tution. Plan B: we would get him into the medic program at CSI in January, and it would just take him a semester longer than the utah program. Well this week we found out that CSIs program is now super competitive because ISU and BSU no longer have a medic program, so all those students are coming here. And the students that have their emt intermediate have first dibbs, something that wasnt necessary before..... GRRRR!!!! Also, we have been in between jobs, trying to get out of the security industry, and having legal problems with a previous employer....WHEN WILL IT END!!!

Anyway, that is just the half of what we have been dealing with, and I cant imagine it without Derek. Along with all this, I personally struggle with things; feeling like a blob and struggling to find the motivation to change, girl stuff, etc. It sure is a tester of our faith and loyalty. I am grateful for these experiences to help us build our faith. Derek has been such a trooper through these experiences, and I am grateful for that too. He has so much responsibility on his shoulders, and never waivers, and I appreciate that. What I relief and comfort he is. He is truly my best friend. I love him.

Brody, stop growing!

Little Brody Boy,

You are now 17 months old and not slowing down! I cant believe how fast time goes! I was just thinking the other day how I cant remember when you were a little baby and crawling! But every day that you grow, you amaze me and your daddy! Your daddy loves you with all his heart. He would do anything for you and you brighten his day. You learn so quickly. The other day I was having you tell me your body parts, and I taught you your knee, and it took you 5 minutes to learn it! Also, last week I was getting ready to give you a bath and stripped you naked. I ran out to the garage to get the clippers to give you a quick trim, and you met me at the door saying poop mommy poop. I didnt know what you were saying till i walked in and saw poop on the floor!!! Time to starting training again! You have a large vocab including, bum, knee, mommy, daddy, banana, treat, oh nooo, etc. I love your little personality. You love trucks, any animals, and are so excited when you see them!

home SWEET home....

So we are back in the west....not officially back in Twin, but close!

We will miss pittsburgh, most especially our friends ...but are excited to move on...!

Brody is not almost 15 months old and amazing us every day. Not a day goes by that we dont laugh or smile real big at him! His vocabulary is getting pretty big for his age....I think....But what mom doesnt think their child is the smartest? :)

Some things he says are momma, dadda, doggy, thank you, treat, drink, eat, poop :), and im sure there are more :)

He is so in love with dogs. I have never seen a little child love something more than he loves dogs. I will have to post a video of what he does when he sees a dog....hilarious....

Anyway he keeps Derek and I on our toes everyday. He is in to everything and knows how to do everything that we do...he thinks. I love how curious he is and love being his mommy!

So we are officially moving back to Twin! I am so excited for this! Derek couldnt get residency at Utah Valley so he will be doing the paramedic program at CSI. It will take about a semester longer but will be cheaper in the long run!

Summer...as it comes to an end in PA

So the summer is quickly winding down here in Pittsburgh. We are all so excited to move on and see what the future holds for our little family. Brody is now 14 months old and growing like a little weed. I love him more than life and couldnt imagine a day with out Brody. Derek has been selling in Erie Pa which is about two hours from here, so he has been staying in a hotel about a week at a time. Nights get pretty lonely around here, and I feel so much peace and comfort with Brody. My little heart breaks because I get to be his mommy. I truely love that little guy more than words. He is the light of my life.... I LOVE BRODY!! Ha. ANyway, he is learning so quickly and already has such a great vocab. He sayS, "HI!!!" right when his daddy walks in the door at night. What is amazing to me is what he truly can comprehend, which I probably dont know the extent. I will ask him if he wants me to read him a book, and he will disapear and come back with a book. AMAZING! Same with nigh night. I ask him if he wants to go nigh night and he will start repeating those two words in a little winny voice til I take him to his bed:)

AND>>>>> He LOvES to Play!!!

the aDvEntuRes of Us!!!!!

this month we have spent a lot of time venturing....! it has been so much fun... Derek's Dad came out to visit and that was a blast. Brody loved having him here, as did we. These are a few pics of what they did together:)

We were able to take Grandpa to OhioPyle State park and took a hike...

Then we headed up to Niagara Falls NY to visit the falls....It was beautiful and much larger than Shoshone Falls;) At night they lit up the falls so we went back to see that, and it was so worth it. And I also got a picture of the city Toronto Canada which has the best view of the falls!

Then the next day we headed up to Palmyra NY to visit the Joseph smith farm, sacred grove, and to watch the hill camorah pageant. It was an amazing experience for our family and I will never forget it!!!
my favorite part for sure was the sacred grove. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Brody was so calm and he couldn't wait to go......he was running towards the grove:)

Amongst all the protesters and such, the pageant was amazing. I had no Idea how big it was. There are over 700 people just performing in it, not to mention how many come watch!!!
