A sweet new baby GIRL is coming to our family!!!

I am so so so excited to be adding a new little life to our family! The timing seemed a little quick at first, but this little one and Braylee will be so close and so fun to have together....! Our new little babe is due January 23, 2013.

One of my sweet friends Lisa scanned me a couple weeks ago (a little early:) and I was super nervous for the gender reveal for the sake of my two boys at home. Both Daddy and Brody really wanted a little boy. I didn't care either way, although a little girl would be a little easier having two in a row, but a little boy would be fun to switch it up....

Well Lisa was 100% sure, and said the pictures and views that she got were almost text book for a baby GIRL! I was by myself since Lisa was sneaking me in on her lunch hour, so Derek just wanted me to hand him the ultrasound pics with Boy or girl listed on it... When I walked in the door I made the mistake of saying, "Well, there is no mistaking this one", so immediately Derek thought it was a boy. OOOOPS!

Then he read "Girl?" Another girl??.... Immediately he informed me that we were going to need to try for another one, and that he insisted that he couldn't just have one boy...Turns out he is super excited to have another "princess" around the house and another set of toes to paint ;)

Now telling Brody was slightly a bit different. I told Brody that I went to Lisa's work and she was able to take a few pictures of the baby...and that it was a little GIRL... He instantly burst in to tears crying and saying, "Go to the doctor and give her back! I already have a sister and I am having a boy. It is a BOY!" I got some pretty hilarious videos of this boy who wasn't too happy. Turns out he too is excited for another sister and already named her "Princess", and cant wait to "feed her a bottle and take care of her."

She was so wild and wiggly during the ultrasound. It made it so much more really and exciting. I am in love with her already! XOXOXO

Strep throat and the ugly aftermath....

So about a week ago Brody woke up and was complaining of a severely bad sore throat and had a fever... I had a cold the week before with a sore throat so I decided not to take him in right away, plus he didn't have any white spots on his throat yet. So I headed off to school. When I got home he was still hot with a fever and hadn't moved off the couch all day and hadn't drank or eaten anything either. That is when I started to panic :) I am a little dramatic at times so Derek calmed me down and I made a trip to Walgreen's to see if I couldn't ease his pain a bit.... He was up most of the next night and when he woke up the next morning he had white patches on his throat so I had Derek take him in...Sure enough, strep throat! Poor little feller! Then I panicked some more thinking Bray couldn't get this, and worse, Bunny cant get this! Well a week later and no one else has gotten it...Thank goodness for my sister in law who suggested oregano oil on my baby's and my feet at night, and the nasty gargling for Derek and Bunny....I know it worked!!!

But, also a week later, this is what I come home from school to.......

Brody boy is allergic to amoxicillian and penicillin :( BOO!

{Braylee Jade}

Braylee Jade is coming up on 2 years old and I can hardly believe it! She sure is a character and loves the pool and bath more than anything.....

She shows some interest in the potty and I know she is ready....SO, in about 7 more weeks, I WILL DO IT!

We love to share popsicles together :)

And she is definitely her momma's girl, junk food and all!

Snake River Stampede Rodeo Boise Trip

Derek scored us some VIP tickets to the rodeo in Boise and it was a blast...VIP is the way to go! They came every 15 min or so and kept loading us up on treats and drinks, Ok, ok, a whole lotta junk! But it was so fun...for sure the best rodeo and entertainment I've seen :) The kids love it, and then we stopped by Cabella's on the way home and they loved too:)

A little glimpse of our FaMiLy Night

We went and hit the tennis courts for family night.....

This is what this little girl did the whole time......"Dink, Mom, Dink!!!!"

4th of July fun

The fourth of July was so fun this year. It is one of Derek's favorite holidays, and when I was growing up, it was always such a fun holiday in my home town. I had the day off from school. We spent the day at bass lake swimming, playing games, fishing, and boating. We all had so much fun and were ready for a nap before the CSI fireworks :)

Braylee and Brody took turns going down the water slide, only about a million times :)

They had a three legged race that Brody and Derek got stomped in, a gunny sack race that Brody did great in, and an egg toss that Brody and Mommy almost won!!! .......

That evening we went to CSI and watched the fireworks...

Then we finished off the night with some fireworks at home :)

Brody's first stitches....4 years old and A bike Rider!!

I am actually pretty proud to say that we have made it to four years old without stitches on this little boy...He is as dangerous and adventurous as they come. Sadly for him, this one doesn't come with a cool story. Brody had missed his nap that day so fell asleep on the couch at about 930... I heard a clunk and a scream and ran over and picked him up off the floor near the couch. Somehow the poor little guy rolled off the couch and hit his head on the coffee table. Off to the ER we went... 3 stitches later and 2:00 in the morning we made it home. He was such a little trooper...

And best of all, Brody learned how to ride his bike without training wheels this summer! We were so proud of him and it didnt take him long. Grandpa Bunny told him that he would buy him a new big bike if he learned, so that is what he got!!!

CaMpInG, the Drive-In, and some SuMmEr Iceeeees!

Summer is sooo much fun with kiddos, but then again most everything is. It is so fun for each of them to experience new things and watch them grow :)

One weekend we threw the mattress in the back of the truck and headed for the drive-in to see Madagascar 3. It was a cute movie although Brody, Bray, and I are the only ones that stayed awake;)

And we love our ICEEEEE'S!!!

At the end of June we decided to go up in the South Hills and go camping. It was so peaceful and relaxing and we had a blast. Brody shot his new BB gun, Derek taught Brody about making fires and using and axe, and I chased Braylee around :)

And no, that wonderful pile of beer cans was not ours. But, it was a great way to teach Brody about littering. HA.
