VaLeNtInEs DaY aNd MeMorIES

Valentines Day reminds me of how lucky I am to have met such and wonderful, caring, and loving husband. From day one, I knew that Derek would be one of my best friends for life....

Derek and I met in late 2005 through a mutual friend from the mission, and my friend from high school, and the rest is history;)

In Early 2006, Derek decided that he needed to go to Fresno, Ca and work for the summer... I followed:) I ended up getting an internship in Fresno and stayed there. I moved out there on May 10, and on May 14th he proposed:)

Summer 06'

While we were in Fresno, Derek wanted to get a dog.....bad. I so didn't want one. I like animals, but at our apartments, the dog would have to be in the house...Well I didnt have much say since Derek had his own apartment and I live in another one with a bunch of girls. Needless to say, we loved that dog to death, no matter what the carpet looked like when we left:)

After that summer, we had to wait a long 9 months to get married, so we could get married in the temple (I was a convert). Derek spent another 2 months in San Diego managing an office, where I spent alot of my time too:)

After San Diego, we moved to Boise for a few short months, before deciding to buy a house in Twin! Finally we were able to get married and it was the most amazing thing I have ever done! I am so blessed to be able to be married to such a man!

Derek and I have had so many fun memories together, I cant remember a day that went by that we haven't laughed at each other... We have been blessed to be able to travel many places because of his job, and experience so much!!!

Puerto Viarrta Mexico......

After we got married, we set off for another summer adventure in Murrieta California (just north of San Diego.) What a fun place! Sorta ghetto, but I loved laying out all summer. Hollie, the other managers wife, and I spent at least 75% of our time at the pool!

So after Cali we got to come back to our home in Twin and little did we know, we had an amazing adventure coming our way:)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were PrEgNaNt!!!!!!!!!!!




What a wonderful blessing this was!!! Before Brody even came into this world, he brought so much joy to our lives! I loved this little guy even before I saw his face, I talked about him every day, and Derek talked to him every day!!! We became so close....

The next summer came and we were off on yet another summer adventure, Florida. At nine months pregnant, we drove out to Miami Florida where our little Brody would be born. Derek and I both were a little scared. No doctors, no Family, and no doctors that spoke English! But I wouldn't have it any other way. This brought Derek and I so close. We had no idea what we were in for or what we were even doing.

After Brody was born Derek and I just sat there and looked at him sitting in his little bin. WOW!! What do we do now?? Brody was the best thing that has ever happened to either one of us, and we were a little family now!!!

ANyway, I just wanted to post this lil memorandum about my best friend and husband, Derek. I love you with all my heart and will never forget all the memories you have given me and all the time you ave brought joy to my life and made me laugh:)
