Fair and Fall Twenty-ten

We headed out to the fair this year and this is what we got.....

I absolutely love this time of year...and I love to decorate for fall.... Here is a cheap little way to spice up your table or whatever you choose....



I just got these two vases and candle holders at the dollar store and super glued them together. Then I got this cute pumpkin pinecone mixture at Michaels for $2.80 with the 40% off coupon you can print...And WaaLA!

And of course some more of our little sports fanatic.

hair cuts, family, and fall

Well I am about 30 weeks now and feeling it! I am so excited for this little munchkin :) I think Brody is too. He is so sweet with little babes and I think he will be with our new addition too. I am LOVING this fall feeling weather this week, so much that I got out all my fall decorations today! I don't think I would be quite so excited if I wasn't so large ;)

As much as I would love to say that this happens often, it simply doesn't! It is so hard to get my boys to get haircuts! Derek would like it more often of course, but always seems to ask at the most inconvenient times! Ha...he will love this. And my little Brody boy just cant stand those clippers, and it drives me nuts! I feel so anal about his hair and want him to love getting it done, but he simply doesn't like it! I have now been giving him an option, do you want a hat or gel in your hair? This has been A LOT easier!

Family is the best!




So I have to share one of my favorite things about my little family. Keep in mind, we are not perfect, we have our spats, and we don't always agree. But, I love how we love to be together. I truly enjoy Derek's company, and I think he enjoys mine. We are social bugs, but we also love being together as a family. I l-o-v-e this.

So I just wanted to post a few little projects that I have been working on and say thank you to my sweet mom! I have been bugging her for months now saying that I wanted a sewing machine and that I wouldn't mind having my grandma's old one....And then...Wala~ A brand new one showed up on my doorstep! Thank you so much mom, and I won't let you down! This was my first project on it......

And I saw this cute little thing on a blog of a frame with the baby's ultrasound pic in it... Mine didn't turn out as cute but o-well :)

Then my cute friend rochelle gave me these UGLY candle holders....and with a little paint and some green candles, I think they will be fab!!



And then some more work for my cute, fabulous, patient husband! I sure have been asking him to do a lot lately, and he is always more that willing :] Here is him working away on this next project I did :) I made these little wall hangings for the babe's room as well :)

Staying Busy....

So a few little things we have been up to....

I have been giving Derek so many projects lately, and wa-la, they get finished!~~~ Here is a rocking chair I found at a yard sale...




And the finished product....with a little antiquing as well! Love it! And a little magnet board I made for the little girls' room :)



And another board I made for my kitchen :)




And of course ...couponing....Crazy but got all this for $3.86 with a $2.00 coupon---like paying $1.86!!! Not too shabby!

6 Months and Counting :]

So here I am at six months! Haven't felt better, and I am so grateful for that!



This is my Best Friend- I LOVE HIM with all my heart! I am so thankful for his forgiving spirit and big heart. No matter how much I need to learn being a mother, he is always there to forgive me. I know he has such a big heart, and I need that, cuz I make a lot of mistakes! I love you little guy!

New Baby Girl.....

Here is her crib set and some crafting :) I have to thank my friend Christine for inspiring me to use this bedding set! Thank you :) I wasn't sure if it was girly enough for me, but I just didn't want PINK! She decorated her little girls' nursery in this and it is adorable :)

Sum Summmer Lovin......

I am so bad lately.....well like for the last almost year! I haven't taken many pictures I feel like! O-well. Anyway, we are loving this summer! We spent some time on the lake with our dear Friends and had a blast!!!

It's Here...

Well I am finally over the half way mark! I am almost 21 weeks and I couldn't be happier to be feeling much much better....It seems I am growing more rapidly since I hit the 20 week mark so it's a good thing it didn't start till now or I would be ginormous!! I found a picture of when I was pregnant with Brody and I am thinking that they are around the same time...I'll have to check. Just think it is fun to compare :) !! I can't wait to meet this baby girl!!!

IT'S a .......

SWEET BABY GIRL!!!! I am so excited to announce that we are having a baby girl! Derek and I have both been so excited about finding out what the sex was on this baby. Yesterday we found out and it was so exciting! As we were driving to the appointment, I said to Derek, "I don't think I was this excited to find out what Brody was." He said that it was probably cuz we just were so lost in the whole being pregnant thing that we just weren't all there :) Anyway, as we got to the appointment yesterday, you have to have a full bladder, so I was so uncomfortable that it was hard to not think about anything else but going pee! And sure enough, I over did it a bit.! My bladder was so full that it was making the placenta mush out and look like it was covering the opening, which isn't good. She had me go pee and count to ten and stop, and I still had a full bladder! I guess it just shows that when I'm told to do something, I don't do it 100%, I do it 150%! Ha! Anyway we had such a great ultra sound tech and she was so very thorough! After about 20 min (it felt like) of measuring other parts of the baby she said, "well lets look at the rest of the parts, now what do those two little lines look like?" Starting to sob I said, " a little girl?" She said, "yep, that's what it looks like to me. !!! I started crying of course and she asked if that was what I wanted and I was crying so hard I couldn't even answer, so Derek answered for me :)! I assured her that they were tears of joy! Then she double and triple checked for us!!! A LITTLE GIRL! We, especially I, feel so incredibly blessed and I am so excited... Derek is so cute and walks around saying, "Don't do this or that, it might hurt my little girl." I love it. I can't wait to meet her! We are trying to train Brody to say baby sister now instead of just, "that's my baby mommy."

Baby Girl~

Your mommy has been so excited to assure herself that you were coming. I can't wait to meet you and hold you in my arms! You will be the apple of your Daddy's eyes, I'm sure of it. I can't wait to dress you up, do your hair, paint your toes, and most important, love you so! Your big brother will be so proud of you and I can't wait for him to meet you. He has such a tender little heart, and I know he will love you with all of it! We love you sweet baby in there and hurry home!

Dear Baby.......

Are you a boy or girl.....???? We are dying! I think we are more anxious to find out what this little one is than we were Brody...And I think it is because we both have NO idea!!! With Brody, Derek was absolutely convinced that it was a boy, and I think he just convinced me :) But this sweet little thing gives us no ideas!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I secretly almost called the hospital to tell them that I would be out of town in a week and a half so we could move it up...I am so bad!!! Anyway, this pregnancy has been way different than Brody was but, I still have no idea! I am feeling tons better though and pretty much back to my same energy level, which I am grateful for. Well our little family has been pretty low key the last few weeks but we are headed out to go fishing today so I should have something to post about soon :) I am also LOVING living here for the summer. This is my first summer here and I love the fields full of food. Every time we drive by a field or piece of machinery, I am asking Derek, "what is that" or "what does that do?" I think I am catching on! I LOVE IT!

Brody is just full of life. HE is so great lately, talking, talking, talking, and playing. He is going through a rough stage right now with other kids and it kinda breaks my heart but I know it is just part of the 2's.... We love his rambunciousness and playfulness. He is definitely all boy and it is so fun!

Derek is just working and having fun riding his bike on the weekends...and fishing a bit... We love him too and Brody is just ecstatic when Derek gets home every night. One night I took Brody's basketball hoop outside on the porch to play. I started to shoot the ball and Brody said, "No mom, I want Dad to play my basketball game with me." FINE....I thought...but so cute that he loves his Daddy so. Then we were driving in the car the other day, past some construction, and Brody says, "My Daddy likes big trucks and big tractors, and I like big trucks and big tractors too mommy" I agreed with him that Daddy likes those things and he said, "And my daddy likes spiders and snakes and soccer balls and baseballs and footballs and my basketball game.." I said yep as my little heart melted :)

Brody Boy is Two!

Yep, that's right, he is officially growing up to fast! Man I love this little boy! And of course, I think he is so smart and so cute. He turned two on Friday and is saying 5 and 6 words sentences, and is as busy as can be. I am not ready to let go, I mean I know I have him for at least 16 more years, but I know soon he will grow out of "I want my mommy" stage and I am dreading that....O-well, it's not here yet. I put together a little party for him on friday night and tried to get him excited that it was his birthday.... he had no idea. I mean, he knew there were presents, that he wanted to open, and wanted the baloons badly, but had no idea why. We ate first and then I decided that we should open presents, then blow out his candles and eat cake.... BAD IDEA! Derek and I got him a basketball hoop and he literally spent 3 hours on it, and screamed everytime I tried to get him to come eat cake and ice cream :) Ha!

So here is a little update of the Davis' lately :) Brody has been busy playing sports, I mean anything that has to do with a ball, he is there! Derek loves it! Here is the proof and a little more :)
